The Trespass wetsuit has been recalled along with Aldi's Adventuridge Portable Hammock with Stand

German supermarket Aldi has urgently recalled one of its hammocks as it could cause injury and Trespass has recalled a wetsuit which has a high risk of drowning. The two items are just some of the products recalled by the trading standards service.

The Aldi product affected is the Adventuridge Portable Hammock with Stand. The warning states: "The product presents a risk of injuries as one seam at the head end of the fabric has been reported to fail after limited uses.

"The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005. The product has been recalled by end users."

The Men's black and grey swimsuit with a Trespass chest logo has also been recalled. It states: "The product presents a high risk of drowning as it does not provide adequate thermal protection for diving in cold water. If used for this purpose, the user could experience cold incapacitation leading to loss of coordination and lack of manual dexterity which could result in drowning."

Product recalls and safety notices are made by traders about products that have problems which could affect the safety of the consumer.

The stores have apologised for any inconvenience caused. Anyone affected can return the product to the supermarket it was purchased from and receive a full refund.

Product description Men's black and grey swimsuit with a Trespass chest logo

Hazard The product presents a high risk of drowning as it does not provide adequate thermal protection for diving in cold water. If used for this purpose, the user could experience cold incapacitation leading to loss of coordination and lack of manual dexterity which could result in drowning.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Personal Protective Equipment (Enforcement) Regulations 2018.

Corrective action Temporary ban on the supply, offer to supply and display of the product.

Hazard The neck circumference of the affected models has been found to be too large and not in compliance with the relevant standard. This could lead to the suffocation of the baby if they slip down into the sleep bag and the garment covers their face.

The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.

Product description Stand-up inflatable paddle boards

Hazard The product has been identified as presenting a risk of exposure to water / drowning as it substandard glue was used during a five-month manufacturing period, which can result in seam separation and deflation of affected units. If the seam separates when the product is in use, the user may fall into the water.

The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.

Corrective action The product has been recalled from end users. All potentially affected consumers were notified on 27 July 2022 and offered replacement paddle boards. Further information can be found on the company's recall page.

Additional information The product was on sale in TK Maxx and Homesense stores between January and July 2022

Product description Black and red hairdryer. The brand name 'Elgetec Beauty' or 'Something Cosmetics' is printed on the hairdryer and the plug is marked with a five-point star inside a circle below the red fuse cover

Hazard TK Maxx is recalling the products due to a safety issue which could cause an electric shock or fire. The plug and cord do not meet required safety standards and the plug was found to contain a counterfeit fuse.
